Hondo, Texas (AP) – A guilt-ridden California prison inmate, serving a four-year sentence in San Quentin on a grand theft charge, has been extradited to Texas to be tried for the killing 11 years ago of an Air Force sergeant outside San Antonio.
The files on the disappearance on Nov. 9, 1990, of Scott M Prince had been all but forgotten when Timothy C Thomason told California officials last May 30 that he robbed and strangled the airman with the help of two others.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit by Medina County Sheriff Joe Tschirhart, Thomason said he and a female friend posed as hitchhikers on Loop 410 in San Antonio, planning to rob whoever stopped.
Prince was overpowered and robbed after he picked up the pair, Thomason reportedly said, and they then were joined by an acquaintance he identified only as ‘Mike’.
According to the affidavit, Thomason said he and his friend strangled Prince at a ranch owned by a relative of Mike, who watched, and the body was dumped near Medina Lake, about 25 miles northwest of San Antonio.
Thomason, who did not fight extradition, was charged with capital murder last week at the Medina County Jail in Hondo. He is being held without bond. Associated Press article 27th December 2001

Dena Thompson, described by a judge at the Old Bailey as ‘utterly ruthless and without pity’, had already conned a string of men out of thousands of pounds. She was found guilty of killing Julian Webb, a newspaper executive, on his 31st birthday in June 1994.
A senior policeman said Thompson was ‘every man’s nightmare’ and declared that the ‘men of Britain can sleep safe knowing she has been taken off the streets.’
Thompson, 43, of Cullompton, Devon, had served time for defrauding her first husband, Lee Wyatt, and third husband, Richard Thompson, though she was previously cleared of trying to kill Mr Thompson with a baseball bat and knife, claiming she feared for her life during a bondage sex session.
