74,569.  If manufacturers are so sure there is nothing wrong with genetically modified foods, pesticides and cloned meats, they should have no problems labeling them as such.  After all, cancer will kill one in every two men and one in every three women now alive, reports Samuel Epstein, chairman of the Cancer Prevention Coalition.  Like our ancestors, we act in ways that will bemuse future societies. The military-industrial complex lubricates the mass-agriculture system with fossil fuels.  Tons of heavy metals and other hazardous, even radioactive, waste is sprayed on American agricultural soil.  (Genetically Modified Food & Pharmaceutics)  Adam Leith Gollne, ‘The Fruit Hunters: A Story of Nature, Adventure, Commerce and Obsession’

2,459.  Consequences for society of lack of legal protection for scientists: block in information flow; depriving people of their democratic right to know; one-sided unbalanced debate; depriving people of their right to influence future; manipulation of public opinion; loss of democratic rights of calling wrongdoers to account; jeopardy of public health.  (Science & Democracy & Pharmaceutics & Accountability)  Professor Susan Bardocz, Alternative View II conference, re sacking of Dr Putsztai

2,460.  For the independence of science this is a very dangerous situation.  Accepting money from the biochemical industry which has aggressively set out to dominate life and society makes scientists and science the servants of multinational companies.  As they are most of the time outside democratic control and accountability, these big corporations may threaten our democratic institutions and corrupt politicians, civil servants and scientists.  (Science & Democracy & Pharmaceutics & Accountability)  ibid.

2,585.  The Pharmaceutic Industry in Britain is a triumph for homegrown science ... Science on an industrial scale ... Targeted science.  (Science & Pharmaceutics)  Science Britannica III: Clear Blue Skies

8,895.  Bush also successfully rammed through the Orwellian-named New Freedom Initiative.  This forces every child in America from age five to eighteen to be psychologically tested twice a year.  Whether you’re home-schooled, private schooled or public schooled.  The guidelines for mental illness were written by a consortium of drug companies.  And in their own internal documentation they brag they will go from 15% of children on psychotropic drugs and Ritalin to over 50% ... This is the type of nightmare only Josef Stalin could dream of.  (Children & Control & Ritalin & Psychology & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics)  Alex Jones, Martial Law 9/11: The Rise of the Police State

8,937.  In 2001 Frontline reported on the dramatic rise in the number of children being given behaviour modifying medications.  (Children & Control & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Behaviour & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  Frontline: The Medicated Child, PBS

8,938.  A teacher suggested he was hyperactive ... In pre-school another teacher suggested medication ... and prescribed Ritalin .. It made him anxious.  (Children & Control & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Behaviour & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,939.  A steep rise in the diagnosis and treatment of childhood mental illnesses of all kinds.  (Children & Control & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Behaviour & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,940.  Tens of thousands of children are being prescribed powerful medication to control hyperactivity and improve their behaviour.  According to the latest figures prescriptions for these drugs have almost doubled in the last five years.  But now Britain’s leading psychological societies are calling for an urgent review.  So is medication being used as a chemical cosh for kids?  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  Tonight: Chemical Cosh for Kids?

8,941.  The number of prescriptions for drugs to combat ADHD has gone up from four hundred and eighty thousand to eight hundred thousand in the last five years.  Most of the drugs are stimulants, and work like the illegal drugs speed or cocaine.  But for ADHD sufferers they radically increase focus and help concentration in the classroom.  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,942.  The medication has side effects.  And some of them are serious. (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,943.  Bigger and bigger doses are required to achieve the same effect.  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,944.  Diagnoses of mental disorders in children and adolescents are increasing at an alarming rate, particularly in the USA where the number of manic depressive children has gone up by 4000% over the past ten years.  The most widely used treatments are psychotropic drugs.  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  Kids on Pills

8,945.  In Europe different medical terms are applied to psychiatric irregularities in children ... The bipolar profile fitted a mere 7% of patients.  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,946.  ADHD is currently the most frequent mental illness in children.  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,947.  Using psychotropic drugs to treat children is a very recent science.  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,948.  The tendency to reach out for pills is increasing in Europe too.  (Children & Control & Behaviour & Mental Health & Pharmaceutics & Ritalin & ADHD & Medicine)  ibid.

8,966.  Let us be the ones who say we do not accept that a child dies every three seconds simply because he does not have the drugs you and I have.  Let us be the ones to say we are not satisfied that your place of birth determines your right for life.  Let us be outraged, let us be loud, let us be bold.  (Children & Pharmaceutics)  Brad Pitt

27,351.  The big chemical companies send samples of toxic products to the camps.  (Nazi & Concentration Camp & Pharmaceutics)  Alain Resnais, Night and Fog 1955

36,661.  The March 1999 Vaccines feature in Parenting magazine provided all propaganda one would expect from a subsidiary of Time Inc.  Time-Warner Inc, the parent company, is a corporate member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).  Time’s president, Richard D Parsons, and the Editor-in-Chief of TIME, Norman Pearlstine, are longstanding CFR members.  One CFR published policy objective is substantial worldwide depopulation including half of the current US population being targeted.  This population reduction program is largely funded by the Rockefeller Foundation and the Merck Fund, both financially and administratively linked to the Merck pharmaceutical company – the world’s leading vaccine manufacturer.  (Council on Foreign Relations & Vaccines & Population & Eugenics & Pharmaceutics & Rockefeller)  Dr Len Horowitz, Parenting with Deadly Timely Propaganda

36,727.  This is a big, big, big part of their agenda.  Basically, the food that most of us are eating is shite.  Do you know what, the farmers in this country feed their animals better than we feed ourselves, because livestock is expensive and you have to look after it.  People need to be sick.  Because people are a revenue stream for the pharmaceutical companies ... It’s a Club of Rome committee: but it’s GM Crops.  All of the nutritional value is being sucked out of crops.  You know, the minerals are being sucked out, the nutrients are being sucked out: basically, you might as well eat cardboard ... And look at what’s happening in Iraq.  A couple of years ago – three years ago now – the US government forced the new government of Iraq to sign legislation making it illegal for the Iraqi farmers, where civilisation started, to save their seeds – they have to buy their seeds from Monsanto, and each of the Monsanto seeds they buy has the suicide gene in.  And this is what is coming!  How are they going to remove organic farming?  Simply, by removing the requirement for labelling ... The Codex Alimentarius Commission are forcing the EU and other trade groups around the world to basically reduce the criteria for what is classified as organic ... So that any food that travels is irradiated.  So basically you’re eating junk.  And who is there to the rescue?  The pharmaceutical companies.  You know, it’s a symbiotic relationship – the food companies get you ill, the pharmaceutical companies keep you ill.   But in keeping you ill, they also help you to live longer.  (Codex Alimentarius & Pharmaceutics)  Ian R Crane, New World Order lecture Liverpool 2008
