★ Jesus Christ (II)

Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.  John 6:37-40&43-51

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.  John 8:12

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?  John 9:4-8

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.  I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of my Father.  John 10:17&18

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

I and my Father are one.  John 10:29&30

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  Believest thou this?  John 11:25&26

It is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people.  John 11:50

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.  John 12:25

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13

It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you.  John 16:7

I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.  John 16:12

A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.  John 16:16

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.  John 17:1-3

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.  John 18:36

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross.  And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.  John 19:17-19

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.  John 20:17

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  Acts 4:12

Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  Romans 6:9

We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.  I Corinthians 4:10

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.  I Corinthians 15:20

So also is the resurrection of the dead.  It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.  I Corinthians 15:42

Behold, I shew you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  I Corinthians 15:51

The love of Christ, which passeth knowledge.  Ephesians 3:19

He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying the body of Christ.  Ephesians 4:11

For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  Philippians 1:21

Having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better.  Philippians 1:23

God hath also highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.  Philippians 2:9

But what thing were gain for me, those I counted loss for Christ.  Philippians 3:7

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  Philippians 4:13

For by him were all things created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.

For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him;

And through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.  Colossians 1:16-20

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  Hebrews 1:2-4

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.  Hebrews 2:9

Of whom the world was not worthy.  Hebrews 11:38
