★ Apocrypha

And go, say to the Watchers of heaven, who have sent thee to intercede for them: ‘You should intercede’ for men, and not men for you: Wherefore have ye left the high, holy, and eternal heaven, and lain with women, and defiled yourselves with the daughters of men and taken to yourselves wives, and done like the children of earth, and begotten giants (as your) sons?  And though ye were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have begotten (children) with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood as those also do who die and perish –

And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling.  Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called.  [As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.]

And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences.  And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.  Enoch 1:15:2-5&8-12

From the days of the slaughter and destruction and death of the giants, from the souls of whose flesh the spirits, having gone forth, shall destroy without incurring judgement  thus shall they destroy until the day of the consummation, the great judgement in which the age shall be consummated, over the Watchers and the godless, yea, shall be wholly consummated.  And now as to the Watchers who have sent thee to intercede for them, who had been aforetime in heaven, say to them:

You have been in heaven, but all the mysteries had not yet been revealed to you, and you knew worthless ones, and these in the hardness of your hearts you have made known to the women, and through these mysteries women and men work much evil on earth.

Say to them therefore: You have no peace.  Enoch 1:16:1-4

And Uriel said to me: ‘Here shall stand the angels who have connected themselves with women, and their spirits assuming many different forms are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray into sacrificing to demons as gods, (here shall they stand,) till the day of the great judgement in which they shall be judged till they are made an end of.  And the women also of the angels who went astray shall become sirens.’  And I, Enoch, alone saw the vision, the ends of all things: and no man shall see as I have seen.  Enoch 1:19:1-3

And thence I went to another place, and the mountain [and] of hard rock.

And there was in it four hollow places, deep and wide and very smooth.  How smooth are the hollow places and deep and dark to look at.

Then Raphael answered, one of the holy angels who was with me, and said unto me: ‘These hollow places have been created for this very purpose, that the spirits of the souls of the dead should assemble therein, yea that all the souls of the children of men should assemble here.  And these places have been made to receive them till the day of their judgement and till their appointed period [till the period appointed], till the great judgement (comes) upon them.’  Enoch 1:22:1-4

Then said I: ‘For what object is this blessed land, which is entirely filled with trees, and this accursed valley between?’  Then Uriel, one of the holy angels who was with me, answered and said: ‘This accursed valley is for those who are accursed for ever: Here shall all the accursed be gathered together who utter with their lips against the Lord unseemly words and of His glory speak hard things.  Here shall they be gathered together, and here shall  be their place of judgement.’  Enoch 1:27:1-3

Then shall the kings and the mighty perish

And be given into the hands of the righteous and holy.

And thenceforward none shall seek for themselves mercy from the Lord of Spirits.  For their life is at an end.  Enoch 2:38:5&6

And it shall come to pass in those days that elect and holy children will descend from the high heaven, and their seed will become one with the children of men.  Enoch 2:39:1&2

And this is the second Parable concerning those who deny the name of the dwelling of the holy ones and the Lord of Spirits.

And into the heaven they shall not ascend,

And on the earth they shall not come:

Such shall be the lot of the sinners

Who have denied the name of the Lord of Spirits,

Who are thus preserved for the day of suffering and tribulation.  Enoch 2:45:1&2

Then will I cause Mine Elect One to dwell among them.

And I will transform the heaven and make it an eternal blessing and light

And I will transform the earth and make it a blessing:

And I will cause Mine elect ones to dwell upon it:

But the sinners and evil-doers shall not set foot thereon.

For I have provided and satisfied with peace My righteous ones

And have caused them to dwell before Me:

But for the sinners there is judgement impending with Me,

So that I shall destroy them from the face of the earth.  Enoch 2:45:4-6

And the righteous shall have rest from the oppression of sinners.  Enoch 2:53:7

And in those days shall punishment come from the Lord of Spirits, and he will open all the chambers of waters which are above the heavens, and of the fountains which are beneath the earth.

And all the waters shall be joined with the waters: that which is above the heavens is the masculine, and the water which is beneath the earth is the feminine.  And they shall destroy all who dwell on the earth and those who dwell under the ends of the heaven.  And when they have recognized their unrighteousness which they have wrought on the earth, then by these shall they perish.  Enoch 2:54:7-10

When the punishment of the Lord of Spirits shall rest upon them, it shall rest in order that the punishment of the Lord of Spirits may not come, in vain, and it shall slay the children with their mothers and the children with their fathers.  Afterwards the judgement shall take place according to His mercy and His patience.  Enoch 2:60:7

And the third was named Gadreel: he it is who showed the children of men all the blows of death, and he led astray Eve.  Enoch 2:69:6

I ESDRAS: I Esdras 1 - I Esdras 1:6-9 - I Esdras 7:4-8 - I Esdras 8:65&66 -

Wherefore against him Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon came up, and bound him with a chain of brass, and carried him into Babylon.

Nabuchodonosor also took of the holy vessels of the Lord, and carried them away, and set them in his own temple at Babylon.  I Esdras 1
