Since 2006 a bloody war between Mexican authorities and the drug cartels has been raging which has so far claimed the lives of 300,000 people.  Over 3,000 women are murdered every year.  That’s ten a day.  One every two and a half hours.  An estimated twenty-four thousand women and girls are missing.  Women at War: Mexico, Sky 2023
