Here in what is now known as Iraq lies what is commonly regarded by historians and archaeologists as the cradle of civilisation.  Between 3,500 and 1,900 B.C. the fertile area between the Tigras and Euphrates rivers was the home of the Sumerian people.  The Sumerians also invented the first known writing system by using uniform script on clay tablets.  In the nineteenth century archaeologists exploring the ancient ruins of Nineveh discovered 22,000 of these clay tablets.  When they were later translated the texts described many stories similar to those found in the Judean-Christian Bible.  Ancient Aliens s1e3: The Mission, History 2009

Closer comparisons between the Hebrew Bible and the Sumerian texts reveal many similarities, not only in their stories but also in their language.  Adam is Hebrew for man.  Adamu is what the Sumerians refer to as the First Man, the Sumerian slaves.  ibid.

Based on Sumerian legends the epic of Gilgamesh is one of the oldest written stories in history.  And tells of a man’s journey to the heavens to meet the god Anu.  Ancient Aliens s2e6: Alien Tech

If extraterrestrials did come to Earth in the distant past who were they and why did they come here?  Ancient astronaut theorists believe the answers exist in early Sumerian texts.   In 1849 British archaeologist Austen Henry Layard discovered 22,000 clay tablets in the ancient Sumerian city of Nineveh in what is now Iraq.  The tablets are written in a cuniform script believed to be the oldest writing system created by the Sumerians 6,000 years ago.  Arthur Zecharia Sitchin spent over 30 years translating these Sumerian clay tablets.  In his 1976 book The 12th Planet Sitchin claims the cuniform texts describe an alien race known as the Anunnaki, who came to Earth from an undiscovered planet in solar system beyond Neptune called Nibiru.  According to Sitchin, the Anunnaki first visited Earth 450,000 years ago during the age of the Neanderthal.  The Anunnaki designed Homo sapiens through genetic engineering to work for them and mine precious minerals.  Ancient Aliens s2e9: Alien Devastations

Their god Enki; the cuniform texts also describe an alien race named the Anunnaki who came to Earth and created the first modern human beings.  Ancient Aliens s3e8: Aliens and Lost Worlds

According to the ancient Sumerian texts Enki defies his superiors and hands down this forbidden knowledge to a secret society known as the Brotherhood of the Snake.  Ancient Aliens s3e12: Aliens and Deadly Cults

Ancient tales of strange worldly creatures.  Stories of gods who came from the skies to create mankind.  Ancient Aliens s6e3: Anunnaki Connection, H2 2014

We examine The Anunnaki Connection ... ‘Looters forced their way in to the National Museum and stole all kinds of artefacts, including musical instruments and cuniform tablets that told the history of ancient Sumeria going back six thousand years or more ... Now many of these texts are missing from us.’  ibid.  David Childress

A deliberate attempt to obliterate forbidden knowledge from the past?  ibid.

They point to descriptions of a group of divine beings called the Anunnaki.  The so-called princely offspring of God, who according to the Sumerians, descended from the sky.  ibid.

‘A deliberate change of our DNA by space travellers who came here thousands of years ago.’  ibid.  Giorgio

The Sumerian king list ... A hundred and forty kings ... Alien beings who created man using their own DNA.  ibid.

Zecharia Sitchen’s hypothesis that the Anunnaki came to Earth to mine gold and then create humans to perform the task was both bold and controversial.  ibid.

The apocryphal Book of Enoch describes beings known as the Watchers, angels who fell from heaven and procreated with humans.  ibid.

Nibiru, the home of the Anunnaki, is on an elliptical path.  ibid.

The ruins of the city of Ur are dominated by a Ziggurat, or Temple.  It was a sacred site for the Sumerian people, the world’s oldest known civilisation.  Rageh Omaar, The Bible: A History: Abraham, 2010

The most precious and rare artefacts dating back to the Sumerian civilisation were either destroyed or stolen.  Entire libraries from all branches of knowledge were emptied in a matter of days.  And whatever was not stolen was burnt and turned to ashes by special chemical components.  It was as if someone wanted to prevent a future rebirth of the nation, by depriving the new generations from the country’s immense culture heritage.  The New American Century, PSTV 2007

The Sumerian people created an entirely new culture heralded by a revolutionary development – the invention of cuniform script three thousand years before Christ and the cultural growth that resulted from the invention of a written language was to reach its pinnacle in Nebuchadnezzar’s vast empire of Babylon.  The Babylon Mystery: Nebuchadnezzar, Discovery TV

The discovery of the Sumerians pushed back the dawn of civilisation by several thousand years.  Richard Miles, Archaeology: A Secret History II: In Search of Civilisation, BBC 2013

The writings and the pictorial evidence left behind by the Sumerians going back 6,000 years speak and depict people who came from another planet.  Zecharia Sitchin, author The Cosmic Code

The ancient Sumerian texts ... tell us that more than 400,000 years ago that these Anunnaki came from space and landed on the Earth in the Tigris-Euphrates Valley.  They began to set up a colony that they called E-den.  Jim Marrs

They had the first bicameral congress, they had the first writing, they had the first school systems ... So you have to ask, So where does all this come from?  I think you need to turn to the ancient Sumerians themselves and listen very carefully to what they have to say ... They were taught civilisation by these Beings who came from the heavens to  the Earth.  They called them the Anunnaki.  Jim Marrs

All over planet Earth, archaeological evidence of alien invasions exist.  None more so than in ancient Iraq.  The country that gave birth to the Sumerian and Babylonian empires.  6,000 year-old clay tablets tell of aliens invading from the stars who enslaved and genetically modified mankind.  These alien gods were called the Anunnaki.  Sumerian records claim the Anunnaki genetically created homo sapiens.  The Anunnaki were reptilian bipedal beings who sometimes appeared as lizards with beaks and snouts.  ibid.

Sumeria is known as the cradle of civilisation.  It was here that white-skinned people from the Caucasus Mountains spread a world-wide cult of blood-ritual and magic.  ibid.

According to figurines and legends in ancients Iraq the Anunnaki were reptilian humanoids.  They are depicted in ancient Sumerian art as suckling human babies to their reptilian breasts.  ibid.

These clay tablets told the history of the Sumerian empire; an empire which was formed by invading aliens called the Anunnaki ... The Sumerian clay tablets described the Anunnaki aliens genetically manipulating mankind and creating a hybrid race of alien-reptilian-humans who became known as the Nephilim.  The Nephilim are also known as the Elohim in the Bible.  This was a genetically-created race of rulers which had their human DNA mixed with that of the invading Anunnaki aliens.  References to this race of alien-hybrid rulers can be found in ancient texts from around the planet.  ibid.

Reptiles have always been associated with a race of hidden masters.  Many occult traditions which are related to the birth of freemasonry speak of the hidden masters.  Some occult historians and authors claim that a group of hidden masters control world international freemasonry.  Ancient Masonic texts suggest that these hidden masters are in actual fact alien spirits from another world.  Some Masonic texts say that the secrets of how to control and influence society and politics from behind the scenes was passed to the elite of freemasonry from a race of reptilian aliens who invaded planet Earth and landed in ancient Iraq more than 12,500 years ago.  ibid.

The Anunnaki alien star-gods were often shown holding pine-cones.  The Vatican’s most famous icons also hold pine-cones acknowledging the Anunnaki brotherhood ... The Vatican uses Ancient Anunnaki and Babylonian symbolism in all its ceremonies ... Britain is full of symbols of the Anunnaki reptilian brotherhood.  ibid.

Nearly four thousand years ago the Sumerians believed in a Great Below where the dead resided.  Ancient Greeks wrote of an Abyss so deep that a soul could fall for a year and not reach the bottom.  In the Hebrew book of Job the underworld is called Sheol and is described as a dark pit beneath the Earth.  In fact almost all ancient cultures accepted the idea of an underworld, a universe of dead beneath the Earth.  Gates of Hell

It is the death of history: 2,000 year-old Sumerian cities torn apart and plundered by robbers.  The very walls of the mighty Ur of the Chaldees cracking under the strain of the massive troop movements, the privatisation of looting as landlords buy up the remaining sites of ancient Mesopotamia to strip them of their artefacts and wealth.  The near total destruction of Iraqs historic past – the very cradle of human civilisation – has emerged as one of the most shameful symbols of our disastrous occupation.  Robert Fisk, Independent article
