June 21st 1947: Six bright metallic donut-shaped discs, about 100 feet in diameter, appear overhead. Evening 21st August 2004: Residents in the small village of Tinley Park, Illinois, looked up to the skies and realised they were not alone. Three strange red lights were swirling above the tiny suburb on the outskirts of Chicago. The sightings spiralled out from Tinley Park to towns all across the Chicago outland. Just two days earlier a similar set of lights was captured on tape in Canada’s British Columbia, then in Minnesota. On 22nd August, the day after the Tinley Park sightings, similar lights appeared in Houston, Texas.
