Believe it or not, they are identical twins: We share the same genes, but we also share the same disease (Neurofibromatosis 1  Nf1) but it affects us in very different ways.’  Horizon: My Amazing Twin, BBC 2016

I have a facial disfigurement; Neil has short-term memory loss.  ibid.

But do twins share more than just physical characteristics?  Some twins believe they have a closeness that even conventional science cant explain ... Does an invisible link remain?  Strange But True? s2e8: The Jim Twins, ITV 1995

But what if twins had never lived together?  What if they were separated at birth?  Its from this group that some of the most incredible stories have emerged.  ibid.

Wives with the same names, jobs, same hobbies, even the same holiday destination, but one of the biggest surprises came after they met.  They were invited to the Minnesota Centre for Twins Research.  They took a battery of tests – the results were so similar the researchers made them take the tests again.  The lives of the Jim twins seem so incredible because until very late in life they had never even met.  Were the similarities coincidences or some form of telepathic communication?  Their identical genetic make-up can account for some of these similarities, but the names of their wives, sons, even dogs?  ibid.

Twins Billy Leon (1946-79) and Benny Lloyd (1946-2001) McCrary, alias McGuire (both USA) were normal until the age of six.  By November 1978 Billy and Benny weighed 337 kg (53 st 1 lb) and 328 kg (51 st 9 lb) respectively, and each had a waist measuring 2.13m (84 in).  Both died from heart failure.  Guinness World Records 2005 (50th edition)

Twins have a special bond.  They feel safer with each other than with their peers.  Jeanne Phillips

Identical twins are ideal lab specimens for studying the difference between learned and inherited traits since they come from the womb preloaded with matching genetic operating systems.  Any meaningful differences in their behaviours or personalities are thus likely to have been acquired, not innate.  Jeffrey Kluger

All who would win joy, must share it; happiness was born a twin.  Lord Byron

Truly there are two primal Spirits, twins renowned to be in conflict.  In thought and word, in act they are two: the better and the bad.  And those who act well have chosen rightly between these two, not so the evildoers.  Gathas Yasna 30:3

Identical sisters Sunny and Gina Han were born just five minutes apart but it might as well have been five years: from the start they were rivals.  Evil Twins s1e1: A Tale of Two Sisters, ID 2012

‘She [Gina] hatched a plan to kill her sister and assume her identity.’  ibid.

‘I want to kill the bitch.’  ibid.  Gina

From the beginning there was always something a bit odd about identical twins Robert & Stephen Spahalski.  And as they grew, so did their disturbing behaviour.  Evil Twins s1e2: Bad Seeds

‘I tied a rope round her neck and stopped her from breathing.’  ibid.  Robert

‘He [Robert] had a twin brother who had actually committed a murder and was in prison.’  ibid.  rozzer

Robert has been on a killing spree for over a decade.  ibid.

Greg and Jeff Henry were identical twins living nearly identical lives … It [temper] turned one twin into a predator, the other his unsuspecting prey.  Evil Twins s1e3: My Brother’s Keeper

One cold night in December 1991 a gunshot rings out.  ibid.

A strange, abusive relationship.  ibid.

‘It was Jeff on the phone – I’ve killed Greg.’  ibid.

The defence argued that Jeff had long shown signs of fear and paranoia, and Jeff’ and Greg’s friends agree.  ibid.

The ferocity of the proceedings stun jurors.  ibid.

Identical brothers Tim and Todd Nicholson were born with Hollywood good looks and matching trust funds … But the tightness of their bond was matched only by the intensity of their rivalry, and it was only a matter of time before one pushed the other too far.  Evil Twins s1e4: Trust Fund Terror

The Nicholson case was a classic Hollywood crime: it had liquor, it had guns, it had money, and best of all, it had twins.  ibid.

Todd points the weapon at Tim; he actually pulls the trigger but the gun jams.  He’s still so angry he takes the gun and starts to pistol-whip Tim.’  ibid.  Joan Renner

He [Tim] picked up the gun and shot his brother through the heart.  ibid.  commentator

The trial would prove to be every bit as sensational as the headlines predict …  ibid.

Identical twin boys Dennis and Daniel Mahon were born in small town America but their lives would take a dark turn.  This tribe of two would find a home in one of America’s most notorious fringe groups [KKK].  And it would all come to a climax on a quiet morning in February.  To ensane the Mahon twins investigators would use an irresistible lure.  Evil Twins s1e5: Tribe of Two

The smoking gun liking the perpetrator to the Scottsdale bomb is still missing.  ibid.
