★ Kingdom of God

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.  Luke 13:28

 

 

And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.  Luke 14:15

 

 

The kingdom of God is within you.  Luke 17:21

 

 

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

 

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.  Luke 18:16&17

 

 

Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

 

And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

 

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

 

For it is easier for a camel to go through a needles eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.  Luke 18:22-25

 

 

And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

 

But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage.  Luke 20:34&35

 

 

Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.  Luke 23:42

 

 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  John 3:3

 

 

In my father’s house are many mansions ... I go to prepare a place for you.  John 14:2

 

 

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.  John 18:36

 

 

And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.  Acts 19:8

 

 

And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.  Acts 28:23

 

 

Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.  Acts 28:31

 

 

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?  Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.  I Corinthians 6:9

 

 

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  I Corinthians 15:50

 

 

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  Galatians 5:21

 

 

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  Ephesians 5:5

 

 

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

 

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

 

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

 

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.  Revelation 21:1-4

 

 

And he said, ‘Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death.’

 

Jesus said, ‘Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find.  When they find, they will be disturbed.  When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all.  [And after they have reigned they will rest.]’

 

Jesus said, ‘If your leaders say to you, “Look, the (Father’s) kingdom is in the sky,” then the birds of the sky will precede you.  If they say to you, “It is in the sea,” then the fish will precede you.  Rather, the kingdom is within you and it is outside you.  When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father.  But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty.’  Gospel of Thomas 1:1-3

 

 

Jesus said to him, Step away from the others and I shall tell you the mysteries of the Kingdom.  It is possible for you to reach it but you will grieve a great deal.  Gospel of Judas 35

 

 

Now the twelve disciples were sitting all together at the same time, and, remembering what the Saviour had said to each one of them, whether secretly or openly, they were setting it down in books.  And I was writing what was in my book – lo, the Saviour appeared, after he had departed from us while we gazed at him.  And five hundred and fifty days after he arose from the dead, we said to him: ‘Have you gone and departed from us?’

 

And Jesus said: ‘No, but I shall go to the place from which I have come.  If you desire to come with me, come.’

 

They all answered and said: ‘If you bid us, we’ll come.’

 

He said: ‘Truly I say to you, no one ever will enter the Kingdom of Heaven if I bid him, but rather because you yourselves are full.  Let me have James and Peter, in order that I may fill them.’  And when he called these two, he took them aside, and commanded the rest to busy themselves with that with which they had been busy.  The Secret Book of James

 

 

17) We said unto him: Lord, after how many years shall this come to pass?  He said unto us: When the hundredth part and the twentieth part is fulfilled, between the Pentecost and the feast of unleavened bread, then shall the coming of my Father be (so Copt.: When an hundred and fifty years are past, in the days of the feast of Passover and Pentecost ... is fulfilled, between the unleavened bread and Pentecost shall be the coming of my Father, Lat.)  Epistula Apostolorum 17 

 

 

For I perceive that ye are in the paths of righteousness; I perceive that ye are in the path which leads to the kingdom of God; yea, I perceive that ye are making his paths straight.  Book of Mormon Alma 7:19

 

 

If thou wilt do good, yea, and hold out faithful to the end, thou shalt be saved in the kingdom of God, which is the greatest of all the gifts of God; for there is no gift greater than the gift of salvation.  Mormon Doctrine & Covenants 6:13
