★ Kennedy, John F (II)

Not one of the civilian doctors who examined the president at Parkland Hospital regarded his throat wound as anything but a wound of entry.  ibid.

The president’s brain has disappeared.  ibid.

It’s going to be a turkey shoot.  ibid.

This is the key shot.  The president going back and to the left.  ibid.

This has to be the most remarkable example of police intuition since the Reichstag fire.  ibid.

Lee Harvey Oswald is brought out like a sacrificial lamb.  ibid.

Who grieves for Lee Harvey Oswald?  ibid.

What kind of national security do we have when we’ve been robbed of our leaders?  ibid.

President Kennedy was murdered by a conspiracy that was planned in advance at the highest levels of our government.  And it was carried out by fanatical and disciplined cold warriors in the Pentagon and CIA’s covert operation apparatus, among them Clay Shaw here before you.  It was a public execution and it was covered up by like-minded individuals in the Dallas police department, the secret service, the FBI and the White House – all the way up to, including J Edgar Hoover and Lyndon Johnson, whom I consider accomplices after the fact.  ibid.

The truth often poses a threat to power.  ibid.

The truth is the most important value we have.  ibid.

Do not forget your dying king.  Show this world that this is still a government of the people, for the people and by the people.  Nothing as long as you live will ever be more important.  It’s up to you.  ibid.

In 1979 Richard Helms, Director of Covert Operations in 1963, admitted under oath that Clay Shaw had worked for the CIA.  Clay Shaw died in 1974 of lung cancer.  ibid.

80 minutes after the assassination Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested.  The JFK Conspiracy, 1978

Select Committee on Assassinations: The bureau has still held back 10% of its material.  ibid.

The Warren Commission’s case against Oswald centred on the celebrated theory of the single bullet that went through both the President and Governor Connally to emerge virtually unscathed.  ibid.

There is now considerable evidence of Oswald’s links with agents from the CIA and FBI in the months before the assassination.  ibid.

Hoover and his top aides deliberately withheld many vital areas of information from the Warren Commission.  ibid.

Why did your husband kill the president?  The evidence is overwhelming.  Fatal Deception: Mrs Lee Harvey Oswald 1993 starring Helena Bonham Carter & Robert Picardo & Frank Whaley & Bill Bolender & Brandon Smith & Lisa Renee Wilson & Deborah Dawn Slaboda & Ingeborga Dapkunaite & Vladimir Ilin et al, director Robert Dornhelm, rozzer

He was always pretending.  ibid.  Mrs Oswald

You shouldn’t worry about the system, Alec.  You can just ignore it.  ibid.  Mrs Oswald to Oswald in Russia

Dont ask!  There’s some things it’s better you don’t understand.  ibid.  him to her

I would like to be part of an honest history.  ibid.  Mrs Oswald

November 22nd 1963: A lone figure walks to a window in the Texas school book depository.  In a matter of seconds the President of the United States will be mortally wounded, and the name Lee Harvey Oswald will be etched in history.  But did Oswald really kill President Kennedy?  New evidence points to the possibility that he did not.  In Search of s5e3 … Lee Harvey Oswald, History 1980

It was a recording that had been overlooked for fifteen years.  The tape should never have existed at all.  At the time of the assassination the microphone on a police motorcycle was jammed in the one position transmitting sound to police headquarters where it was routinely recorded.  ibid.

Shots were recorded at various places at the assassination site for later comparison with the motorcycle tape.  ibid.

‘… and one from the grassy knoll …’  ibid.  sound expert

It’s the third, the one from the front, the grassy knoll, that kills the President.  ibid.

Could there have been two Oswalds?  ibid.

I wanna talk about it but I don’t want to talk to the police about it.  I’m not going to jail, got it?  Interview with the Assassin 2002 starring Raymond J Barry & Dylan Haggerty et al, director Neil Burger, Walter to Ron

I was the second gunman behind the stockade fence.  ibid.

I was a hotshot back then.  A sick fuck.  ibid.

This man is sick.  He’s been in a mental institution.  ibid.  John

Ron Kobeleski was convicted of conspiracy and sentenced to 3 years in prison.  The shell was confiscated by the police from Steven Wu and booked into evidence.  It was later reported missing and is now considered lost.  Ron Kobeleski died in prison on May 8, 2001 of multiple stab wounds.  At this time there is no suspect in his murder.  ibid.  caption

We were all involved in the death of John Kennedy.  We tolerated hate; we tolerated the sick stimulation of violence in all walks of life; and we tolerated the differential application of law, which said that a man’s life was sacred only if we agreed with his views.  This may explain the cascading grief that flooded the country in late November.  We mourned a man who had become the pride of the nation, but we grieved as well for ourselves because we knew we were sick.  Martin Luther King junior, Why We Can’t Wait

‘We are confronted primarily with a moral issue: it is as old as the scriptures and is as clear as the American constitution … The proposition that race has no place in American life or law.’  Martin Luther King and the March on Washington, narrator Denzel Washington, JFK June 11th 1963, BBC 2013

And then the assassination or the killing of Kennedy in 63 or 62, we want to know who killed him.  Somebody by the name of Lee Harvey and another Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey – why did he kill him?  Muammar Gaddafi, address to United Nations

The greatest drug smuggler in the history of drug smuggling is a guy named Barry Seal ... In the early sixties Barry Seal is living in New Orleans where he joins the Civil Air Patrol Unit, whose captain is an eccentric fellow by the names of David Ferry.  Ferry was by all indications a conspirator in the JFK conspiracy.  Another member of the Civil Air Patrol Unit is Lee Harvey Oswald ... Barry Seal was a pilot.  A great pilot by all accounts.  Who Killed John O’Neill?

It has all been a long dark night since Friday.  And daylight hours are still mooted here.  But, Mr President, may we say one last goodnight?  When there must be perpetual light in your far away Valhalla, wherever, reserved for souls like yours.  And we can still see your bright smile and your vigorous stride through some mystic Elysian Fields.  Goodnight, Mr President.  Goodnight.  J Hogan, KRLD newsman, live televised tribute

He was a great President.  He had great plans for future – for the future of the United States and the world.  He had great promise for the entire world.  The world could have turned out quite differently if those plans were realised.  Mikhail Gorbachev

What is your government doing to catch the other assassins?  It took about three people.  Fidel Castro

I now no longer believe anything the Agency [CIA] told the committee any further than I can obtain substantial corroboration for it from outside the Agency for its veracity ... We also now know that the Agency set up a process that could only have been designed to frustrate the ability of the committee in 1976-79 to obtain any information that might adversely affect the Agency.  Many have told me that the culture of the Agency is one of prevarication and dissimulation and that you cannot trust it or its people.  Period.  End of story.  I am now in that camp.  G Robert Blakey, former chief counsel HSCA

I think the [Warren] report, to those who have studied it closely, has collapsed like a house of cards ... The fatal mistake the Warren Commission made was not to use its own investigators, but instead to rely on the CIA and FBI personnel, which played directly into the hands of senior intelligence officials who directed the cover-up.  Richard Schweiker, senator & Church committee member, Face of the Nation 1976
