Like Warren Jeffs, Joseph Smith engaged in sex with underage girls (despite what robo-Mos dependent on FAIR propaganda peddling may wish to believe – and as proven by Mormon history itself).
Smith’s Well-Earned Reputation for Being a Sex-Obsessed, Self-Possessed Philanderer –
As a baseline (and as known in Mormon circles of his day), Smith was legendary for his sexual attraction to women.
In fact, the official LDS publication History of the Church (vol 5 p53) acknowledged the lore of Smith’s attraction to females, as described in The Wasp, a LDS newspaper published in Nauvoo, Illinois:
... Smith’s moves to seduce other men’s wives were so brazen and notorious that they led one distraught husband – Orson Pratt – to attempt suicide in Nauvoo on 15 July 1842 ...
Smith’s first known sexual affair was with a teenager named Fanny Alger, who was living with Smith and his first wife Emma in their Kirtland Ohio home. Fanny was also Smith’s first confirmed plural wife. Smith came to know [her] in Kirtland during early 1833 when she, at the age of 16, stayed at his home as a housemaid. Described as ‘a very nice and comely young woman’, according to Benjamin Johnson, Fanny lived with the Smith family from 1833 to 1836.
Fanny eventually became the target of Smith’s sexual advances, with Smith’s predatory behavior soon becoming the talk of the town ...
As part of Smith’s brimming quiver of teenager brides, in May 1843, in Smith’s Nauvoo store, he married an underage 14-year-old female named Helen Mar Kimball. Helen’s father, Heber C Kimball, officiated the wedding of his underage daughter to Smith.
Helen was the youngest of Smith’s brides – and according to Helen, he had sex with her.
Helen wrote about how her marriage to Smith was orchestrated by her father:
‘Having a great desire to be connected with the Prophet, Joseph, he (my father) offered me to him; this I afterwards learned from the Prophet’s own mouth. My father had but one Ewe Lamb, but willingly laid her upon the altar: how cruel this seemed to my mother whose heartstrings were already stretched until they were ready to snap asunder, for she had already taken Sarah Noon to wife and she thought she had made sufficient sacrifice but the Lord required more.’

Oaks confessed that the Mormon Church had not, in fact, been honest about its practice of polygamy during that time. He admitted that the case, as laid out by Quinn, was, in fact, true. Oaks admitted that, in his opinion, lies had indeed been told by Mormon Church leaders about the continuing practice of polygamy after it supposedly was ended by the Manifesto of 1890 ...
Oaks then proceeded to attack Quinn personally by accusing him of breaking his word.
Oaks said that Quinn had been given access to all of J Reuben Clark’s papers for the purpose of writing a book on Clark’s years of Church service. Oaks said he had assured the Church that Quinn was credible, in order that Quinn could be given access to those records. Oaks noted that shortly after Quinn’s research was published on Clark, out came Quinn’s article on post-Manifesto polygamy.
... He accused Quinn of having taken more information out of Church archives than he had been given permission to examine and research, going in.
Oaks said that Quinn was not an innocent victim in this affair. Oaks indicated that he subsequently wrote Quinn a letter, in which he expressed his ‘deep disappointment’ with him and telling Quinn he had exceeded the limits of their original understanding.
In that letter, Oaks further said, he told Quinn that he now regarded him as someone who could not be trusted. Oaks added that Quinn would not tell us about these things, if asked, because of Quinn’s involvement.
On that last point, I wanted to see for myself.
In August 2001, I personally recounted to Quinn Oaks’ version of events and asked him for his own recollections.
Visibly agitated but in a controlled and calm voice, Quinn emphatically denied that he had violated any research agreement with the Church Historical Department.

Indeed, below are the sordid details of Smith’s pathological pursuit of Mary Elizabeth Rollins – an obsessive skirt chase that began when she was a 12-year-old girl and climaxed 11 years later when he finally captured her for his unholy harem.
Smith Tells 12-Year-Old Mary Elizabeth that God Has Commanded Him in a Vision to Marry Her and that a Sword-Bearing Angel Threatened to Kill Him if She Didn’t Obey (Sound Familiar?) ...
Mary Elizabeth Rollins claimed that Joseph had a private conversation with her in 1831; she was 12 years old.

Although she did not become a plural wife of Joseph’s until a number of years later, that early conversation planted a seed that Mary Elizabeth long remembered. Law, a prominent Nauvoo businessman, was solidly devoted to Smith until mid-1843. During the Bennett scandal, he quickly came to Smith’s defense, reassuring the Saints that Church leaders did not condone ‘spiritual wifery’ or any such behavior. Smith held his counselor in such high esteem that he included him in the first small group of male initiates to the endowment ceremony in May 1842. And Law rendered much moral and financial support to a discouraged Smith when Missouri officials were attempting to extradite him on the Boggs case.
‘By early 1843, however, Law began to waver in his commitment to Smith. Initial difficulties between the two centered on business matters ... But a deeper source of the Laws’ disaffection was their detestation of polygamy. In an 1887 interview William explained that Hyrum Smith had shown him the ‘revelation on celestial marriage’ in the fall of 1843. ‘Hyrum gave it to me in his office,’ Law said, and ‘told me to take it home and read it.’ He and Jane ‘were just turned upside down by it.’ ... William took the document directly to the prophet and commented that it was in contradiction to the Doctrine and Covenants. Smith noted that the section on marriage in the Doctrine and Covenants was ‘given when the Church was in its infancy, when they were babes, and had to be fed on milk, but now they were strong and must have some meat.’ ‘He seemed much disappointed in my not receiving the revelation’, William wrote. ‘He was very anxious that I would accept the doctrine and sustain him in it.
