★ CIA & Central Intelligence Agency (I)

For the better part of a decade, a Bay Area drug ring sold tons of cocaine to the Crips and Bloods street gangs of LA and funnelled millions in drug profits to a Latin American guerrilla army run by the CIA.  The cocaine that flooded in helped spark a crack explosion in urban America.  It is one of the most bizarre alliances in modern history – the union of a US-backed army attempting to overthrow a socialist government and the Uzi-toting gangstas of Los Angeles.  Gary Webb

But the fact that the government has been involved in illegal narcotics trafficking, literally overdosing our own people, not third world target audiences, as we would expect ... At that time we had knowledge that the CIA was trafficking in illegal narcotics using Air America, which we over there had our own name for  we called it Air Opium ... As a matter of fact I was surprised and pleased to see the movie Air America finally come out because it showed for maybe the only time in history where the Pepsi Cola plant was set up in Laos, not to put mom and pop bottling companies out of business but rather to do the rather more sophisticated steps of taking opium and morphine into number four Asian [heroin] hell.  Bo Gritz

Coming to grips with these US/CIA activities in broad numbers and figuring out how many people have been killed in the jungles of Laos or the hills of Nicaragua is very difficult.  But, adding them up as best we can, we come up with a figure of six million people killed – and this is a minimum figure.  Included are: one million killed in the Korean War, two million killed in the Vietnam War, 800,000 killed in Indonesia, one million in Cambodia, 20,000 killed in Angola ... and 22,000 killed in Nicaragua.  These people would not have died if US tax dollars had not been spent by the CIA to inflame tensions, finance covert political and military activities and destabilize societies.

The six million people the CIA has helped to kill are people of the Mitumba Mountains of the Congo, the jungles of Southeast Asia, and the hills of northern Nicaragua.  They are people without ICBMs or armies or navies, incapable of doing physical damage to the United States, the 22,000 killed in Nicaragua, for example, are not Russians; they are not Cuban soldiers or advisors; they are not even mostly Sandinistas.  A majority are rag-poor peasants, including large numbers of women and children.

Communists?  Hardly, since the dead Nicaraguans are predominantly Roman Catholics.  Enemies of the United States?  That description doesn’t fit either, because the thousands of witnesses who have lived in Nicaraguan villages with the people since 1979 testify that the Nicaraguans are the warmest people on the face of the earth, that they love people from the United States, and they simply cannot understand why our leaders would want to spend $1 billion on a Contra force designed to murder people and wreck the country.  John Stockwell, Secret Third World Wars

The connections piled up quickly.  Contra planes flew north to the US loaded with cocaine, then returned laden with cash.  All under the protective umbrella of the United States Government.  My informants were perfectly placed: one worked with the Contra pilots at their base, while another moved easily among the Salvadoran military officials who protected the resupply operation.  They fed me the names of Contra pilots.  Again and again, those names showed up in the DEA database as documented drug traffickers.

When I pursued the case, my superiors quietly and firmly advised me to move on to other investigations.  Celerino Castillo, DEA agent, Powder Burns 1992

Founded in 1921 by President Wilson’s chief counsel, Colonel Edward House, the CFR operates as the primary adviser to the United States government.  The CFR’s principle contact in the US is the CIA.  And the chairman of the CFR is the CEO of AIG.  With its obvious intelligence links, just think how scary it is to think of a company like AIG.  Insurance companies are the foremost private intelligence gathering organisations in the world.  Who Killed John O’Neill? 2005

Kroll is bigger than you can possibly imagine.  Kroll Associates is a global security and Intelligence company.  Publicly traded and privately managed, Kroll specialises in large building security and industrial espionage.  In 1993 Kroll got a contract to manage security at the World Trade Centre.  They held that position up until the Towers fell.  ibid.

Jerome Hauer, the go-to-guy for bio-terrorism.  In an investigation of 9/11 Hauer’s name comes up more than anybody else’s.  As a Managing Director of Kroll in New York City Hauer was responsible for doing security at the World Trade Centre ... Just prior to this, Jerome Hauer was Rudi Giuliani’s right-hand man in New York, where he headed the office of Emergency Management – FEMA in New York City.   ibid.

Hauer worked in 1999 with Steven Hatfill, the prime suspect in the anthrax attacks at the Scientific Applications International Corporation – the SAIC.  This company, the SAIC, was awarded a huge bio-defence contract after 9/11.  Hatfill, a well-known friend of Jerome Hauer, was working on the military-grade anthrax program at USAMRIID at Fort Detrick Maryland.  ibid.

Kroll has been involved in a host of shady operations.  In 1991 the Kuwaiti government hired Kroll to investigate Saddam Hussein’s finances.  In 2002 Kroll was given the massive responsibility of reorganising Enron.  Through ’97 and ’98 Kroll oversaw the elections of the Teamsters Union.  And just following 9/11 Kroll was tapped by LAPD to monitor all counter-terrorism efforts in Los Angeles.  Kroll really gets around.  ibid.

Kroll is CIA.  ibid.

And there are other companies like Kroll as well.  There’s T&M Protection run by Robert Tucker.  Tucker!  Tucker met with O’Neill and Hauer the night before 9/11.  They had drinks at Elaine’s.  There’s Strang-Hayes Consulting.  There’s Wackenhut Corporation.  Then there’s CTC International.  The Cohen Group.  Then there’s Stratesec formerly called SecuraCom.  Stratesec also had a contract to do security at the World Trade Centre.  SecuraCom also had security contracts for Dulles International Airport and United Airlines.  And remember, United had two planes crash on 9/11.  And one of those planes came from Dulles.  Now, the interesting thing about SecuraCom is that from 1993-2000 one of its principle shareholders was a man by the name of Marvin Bush!  ibid.

The people who run counter-terrorism may very well be the terrorists themselves.  ibid.

You have to move the MENA Operation.  Well where do you move it to?   Some place more out of the way than MENA.  And what’s more out of the way than flight school?  Where did Mohamed Atta get his flight training?  Huffman Aviation School in Venice, Florida ... Mohamed Atta had one of these visas.  Guess who gave it to him?  Rudi Deckers, DEO of Hoffman Aviation.  And there is overwhelming evidence that Rudi Deckers works for the CIA.  Why would a CIA agent run a flight school?  On July 5th 2000 the DEA discovered over thirty pounds of heroin on a plane owned by Wally Hilliard.  He is the owner of Huffman Aviation.   ibid.

It’s a show.  It’s theatre.  It distracts all of us from what’s really going on.  The systematic destruction of national sovereignty all across the world.  ibid.

Mohamed Atta was seen doing cocaine several times before 9/11.  And what’s more, Atta isn’t seen doing this all by himself.  Often Rudi Deckers is with him.  The guy who runs the flight school.  ibid.

Every CIA Director since 1966 has been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.  Fool Me Twice, 2007

During the 1960s J Edgar Hoover, the then Chairman of the FBI, allowed the drugs trade to flourish within the African-American community in an attempt to undermine the black communities uprising within American societies ... The CIA allowed drugs to be traded into America.  Shadows in Motion

Why was Frank Olson killed? ... Frank Olson worked at Fort Detrick, Maryland ... Two weeks before his death Frank went to a three-day conference with some of his colleagues and came home a changed man.  Vincent Ruwet, Frank’s boss, told the Olsons he believed that Frank was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.  Just before Thanksgiving he took Frank to New York for treatment.  While in New York Frank shared a hotel room with Dr Robert Lashbrook, a CIA scientist.  Nearly a week passed before Franks family finally heard from him.  Frank Olson was dead at the age of forty-three.  Investigators determined that he had either jumped or fallen to his death.  The night manager of the hotel also found Franks death suspicious.  Unsolved Mysteries

Years later a government commission was formed to investigate past abuses committed by the CIA.  The official report made mention of a scientist who had plunged to his death from a hotel room ten days after being dosed with LSD.  That scientist turned out to be Frank Olson.  Over the next year and a half the Olson family received a formal apology from President Ford and a cheque from the government for $750,000.  ibid.

The laced drinks were served to eight of the ten scientists present.   Some of them including Frank Olson were not warned about the test.  Within an hour the LSD took effect.  When [Sid] Gottlieb told the group their drinks had been spiked with LSD, Frank Olson became very angry.  Then Frank made his fatal trip to New York supposedly suffering from a nervous breakdown.  ibid.

Ronald Reagan: In small countries like Chile, Guacamole and Pina Colada democracy is being undermined by unscrupulous men who will use any means at their disposal to achieve their ends.

Ed: That’s the CIA, sir.  Spitting Image s1e12, ITV 1984

It is the firm and continuing policy that Allende be overthrown by a coup.  It is imperative that these actions be implemented clandestinely and securely so that the USG [United States Government] and American hand be well hidden.  CIA cable to Chile

The only reason Chile exists is because of Pinochet.  What human price?  Give me a break!  Thousands?  You count them.  What thousands?  Don’t talk to me about Truth Commissions.  There aren’t thousands.  Duane Clarridge, CIA Head of Chile Operations 1981-1984

We now know that Pinochet’s 1973 coup, which overthrew an elected government, rounded up 70,000 of its supporters, burnt their books, raped the women, tortured and murdered at least 10,000 people, was planned in the dear old democratic US by an intelligence agency which was set up ostensibly to protect democracy.  The reason for the coup was that investors in Chile had become sick and tired of laws which tried, usually unsuccessfully, to keep prices down.  Low prices meant low profits, and low profits for any length of time were intolerable.  Paul Foot, No Time to Make Up
