★ Domestic Violence

The wife and father-in-law of Limerick man Jason Corbett have been sentenced to between 20 and 25 years in jail.  ibid.  TV news

It’s not a coincidence that all the physical evidence and the circumstantial evidence all corroborate what Tom and Molly told law enforcement from the beginning.  ibid.  Tom’s lawyer

I believe that this is a gross miscarriage of justice.  ibid.  Molly’s uncle

The judge ruled that Jason Corbett was the aggressor that night.  But the state is appealing the decision.  ibid.  Tom’s lawyer

North Carolina Supreme Court upheld an appellate court’s ruling granting Tom and Molly a new trial.  ibid.  TV news

Domestic abuse was going to come into the light, the abuse that I suffered and endured.  ibid.  Molly

Molly was becoming a shell of what she had been.  ibid.  Tom

If a jury hears this evidence of domestic abuse, they will find Tom and Molly innocent.  ibid.  expert

If Molly could get Jason to blow up, while her parents were there as witnesses, she could apply for a domestic protective order, which would remove him from the house.  And then she can file for emergency custody of the children, and take his children away from him.  ibid.  prosecutor

His [Jason] first wife died in mysterious circumstances.  ibid.  Tom to rozzers, original interview

Nobody investigated any further into Mag’s [first wife] death.  ibid.  appeal lawyers

Jason’s first wife did not die from an asthma attack.  The evidence to me shows that she succumbed to injuries from manual strangulation.  ibid.

The only reason wife number two was not victim number two was because that night her 65-year-old father was there to intervene and stop it.  ibid.

This afternoon, the judge sentenced them to 51 to 74 months.  ibid.  TV news

[Carl Jung]: ‘Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.’  Psyphoria podcast: You Must Let Go: Who to Let Go From Someone Who Hurts You

You say that you want to forget, to move on.  But tell me, why do you still think about that person every day?  ibid.

You miss what you projected on to them: the illusion of love.  ibid.

Often what we call love is just our shadow clinging to someone.  ibid.

As long as you continue to seek outside what is missing inside, you will be enternally imprisoned by the gaze of the other.  ibid.

The unconscious search for validation and the price paid for betraying oneself.  ibid.

If deep down you feel like you are living a lie, you will continue to feel empty.  ibid.

The role of the shadow in repeating toxic patterns.  ibid.

Carl Jung defined the shadow as ‘everything you do not want to be, but are’.  ibid.

Burying is not eliminating.  ibid.

You will have to face everything you have avoided.  ibid.

The first responders were confronted by a truly horrific scene and the bodies of two young children.  How did 31-year-old Jill Bluestone end up dead along with her two youngest children?  Cops Who Kill s1e5, CI 2023

Jill had been married to her police officer husband for seven years.  ibid.

Karl would inexplicably turn from a nice guy into a monster.  ibid.

‘I’ve done 34 years and that one still chokes me.’  ibid.  ex-rozzer

‘It’s an appalling case.  He did use a hammer.’  ibid.  psychologist

Karl Bluestone used the rope he had purchased just days earlier to hang himself in the garage of the family home.  ibid.

Four incidents of domestic violence perpetrated by Karl Bluestone were brought to the attention of Kent County Constabulary, and all were recorded.  ibid.  caption
