★ Anti-Christ

There will be terrible times in the last days ... Evil men and impostors go from bad to worse deceiving and being deceived.  I Timothy 3:1&13

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?  He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.  I John 2:18&22

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.  II John 1:7

A known anti-Christ.  Burial church records of Friedrich Nietzsche

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Here is wisdom.  Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.  Revelation 13:1-4&7&11&12&18

The Antichrist is often identified with the second beast in the Book of Revelation that arises from the land, the beast that tries to make everyone worship the power of evil.  Elaine Pagels

The Antichrist three very soon annihilated.

Seven and twenty years of blood will his war last:

Heretics dead, captive, exiled, blood, human bodies,

Reddened water will fall like hail on the earth.  Nostradamus VIII-77

The chief of London through the realm of America.  The Isle of Scotland will be tried by frost: King and Reb will face an Anti-Christ so false, that he will place them in the conflict all together.  Nostradamus X-66

The Anti-Christ.  Tens of millions of people are on the lookout for him.  And for signs of the end-times.  Whether believers think he’s here or merely waiting in the wings, they consider the Anti-Christ an agent of unparalleled evil.  And he’s seen as a sign of the times.  Decoding the Past s2e23: The Anti-Christ: Zero-Hour I, History 2006

The Anti-Christ has topped most Wanted Lists for the last two millennia.  Prophecy believers have never stopped hunting for this figure  Christ’s evil opponent, Satan’s human representative on Earth.  ibid.

What is the origin of the Anti-Christ profile? … rooted in the nineteenth century.  ibid.

Ted Haggart: In addition to being the New Life Church’s founder, he heads up the National Association of Evangelicals.  ibid.

This influential form of Biblic interpretation is called Dispensationalism … Dispensationalism caught on quickly in America.   ibid.

How is the world being prepared for his reign of terror?  ibid.

One sign is a perception of the rise of evil.  ibid.

Interestingly, this big brother aspect of the Anti-Christ is also present in Islamic culture.  ibid.

He has been called by many names.  The Lawless One.  The Beast.  The Arch-Deceiver.  But most know him as the Anti-Christ.  He is at the crux of an apocalyptic vision of salvation and slaughter that millions of people share.  He is the central figure in the world’s most popular doomsday prophecy.  And some say they know his profile.  Above all he represents a paradox.  The Anti-Christ is pure evil.  But true believers look for his coming with anticipation.  Whether fact or fiction, his role is clear: the Anti-Christ is Satan’s human emissary on Earth.  Decoding the Past: The Anti-Christ: Zero Hour II
