It is now finally time to dig.  ibid.

After completing a series of sonar tests which indicated that everything from wooden posts, chests, man-made tunnels and even a dead body could lie at the bottom of the 235-foot shaft known as 10X, they are more determined than ever to send a diver down to find out if these results are true.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e2: Pipe Down

Oak Island theorist Robert Markus … Markus believes that the lost treasure of King Solomon’s Temple including the Ark of the Covenant were buried on Oak Island hundreds of years ago by the Knights Templar.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e3: Time to Dig

While digging in the area where the original Money Pit was discovered in 1795, they’ve just uncovered a section of wall they believe is part of a 78-year-old searcher tunnel.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e4: The Overton Stone

But first Marty and Rick will hire a remote-operated vehicle to get solid images of the 27-inch hole and the mysterious cavern.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e5: Disappearing Act

In 1786 [Samuel] Ball purchased four acres of land on Oak Island for £8 sterling … At the time of his death in 1845 the former slave turned cabbage-farmer had purchased several more acres of land … Samuel Ball became one of the richest men in Nova Scotia, but how?  ibid.

The recent discovery of the Hedden shaft, the searcher shaft dug by treasure hunter Gilbert Hedden in 1937, has become one the team’s biggest accomplishments so far.  ibid.

Rick Lagina has decided to focus his attention on the strange carvings that have been discovered all over the island.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e6: Carved in Stone

According to Fred Nolan’s theory, a large portion of the precious cargo never made it back to the King.  A small group of officers conspired to hide it on nearby Oak Island.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e7: The Missing Peace

The waters of Mahone Bay where Oak Island is located was once part of the trade route between Europe and the New World in the 16th and 17th centuries.  It was also here during the height of piracy that merchant ships and the valuable cargo they carried fell victim to attack and plunder.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e8: Phantom of the Deep

An old drill bar that fell down 10X thirty years ago is still wedged somewhere in the 27-inch portion of the shaft: this could present an impossible obstacle.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e9: Columbus Day

What appears to be a mysterious triangle-shaped object lying at a depth of 20 feet on the ocean floor.  ibid.

To get to the bottom of borehole 10X, they decided to hire professional divers … Just minutes into the much-anticipated dive they’ve lost all communication.  The Curse of Oak Island s3e10: Silence in the Dark

And explore the area on the island known as Nolan’s Cross.  ibid.

In 1804 after successfully excavating the pit to a depth of ninety feet McGinnis and his fellow treasure hunters unearthed a large stone slab with strange carved markings on it.  But when they removed it, the hole filled with seawater as if some sort of booby-trap had been sprung.  ibid.

Something of great value really could be buried in the Money Pit.  ibid.

Determined searchers have been digging on Oak Island for 220 years.  They’ll hope to unearth ancient artefacts, religious relics and of course unknown riches and treasure.  The Curse of Oak Island recap special

Chappell found what looked like flakes of gold and a small piece of parchment with the letters V I clearly visible.  But when he later tried to dig down to recover what he found, the hole collapsed from flooding and the mysterious wooden box was never found again.  That is not until 2014 when Rick, Craig and the team found evidence that matched the description of the long lost vault.  ibid.

Smith’s Cove is central to the theory that whatever is buried in the money pit is protected by an elaborate booby-trap system likely constructed many centuries ago.  ibid.

Fred Nolan first came to Oak Island in 1958.  And was later invited to survey the island in 1961 by land-owner M R Chappell.  After locating what he believed to be a number of stone markers and monuments, Fred became convinced that the key to solving the Oak Island mystery was to search above ground and not below it.  The Curse of Oak Island s4e3: Swamp Things
